A very close game, Stony batted first and were restricted to 84, good bowling from Ben Talbot
4 overs for 9, Satchi Mehendren 4 overs for 12 and Hemish Patel 4 overs for 13.
With Park missing several of the more experienced players the early departure of Matt Shepherd
for 9 left Park struggling. Satchi Mehendren and Ben Talbot with 14 each battled hard as Park
were just edged out by 5 runs.
23rd May   Home  versus  Buckingham
MK Park 110 - 2    20 overs    Buckingham 89 - 8  20 overs   MK Park won by 21 runs

having to retire. Nick Barden came in a number three and hit the ball hard before he had to retire
on 33. John Watie and Satchi Mehendren batted and ran well with 12 & 10 respectively to keep
the board ticking.
In reply the tactic of opening with the slower bowlers paid off. Gareth Austin with 2 - 11 off three
overs and George Shreives 1 - 13 off three overs bowling lovely spells of off spin. Alex Coaton
also bowling well with 1 - 10 off three overs. A good fielding display with two runs outs ensured
Parks victory.
5th June  Away  versus   Cublington
MK Park 112 - 7   20 overs     Cublington 29 - 8   20 overs    MK Park won by 83 runs
An awesome display by Parks under 12's saw them to an emphatic 83 run victory over Cublington.
Openers Matt Shepherd with 20 and Satchi Mehendren with 30 (retired) gave Park a good platform
to score 112 off their 20 overs. In reply wicket keeper Nick Barden took a hatrick of stumping's off
the accurate Alex Coaton who took 3 - 3 off his four overs. From the other end the Ben Talbot bowled
with great skill to collect 2 - 4 off his four overs. Jack Lintwaite with 2 - 6 and Gareth Austin 1 - 2 also
bowling well to pick up the other wickets. Debutant Ben Parker got into the game bowling two tidy
overs.
12th May  Away  versus   Great Brickhill
Great Brickhill 37 - 8  20 overs   MK Park 41 - 1  8  Overs   MK Park won 9 wickets
Another convincing display by the ever improving under 12's. Park's opening bowlers put a strangle
hold on the Brickhill batsmen from the start with Satchi Mehendren taking 1 - 1 and Ben Talbot 1 - 4
bowling superb line and lengths. The rest of the bowlers followed suit with Hemish Patel 1 - 6 and
Gareth Austin 1 - 3 both off 3 overs. The most pleasing display was from Jack Linwaite with 1 - 12
and Ben Parker with 3 - 6 (both off 4 overs) his first wickets in junior Cricket. As has been in the
recent games the fielding and wicket keeping was superb. In reply with just 37 required John Waite
opened with Matt Shepherd, John lost his wicket early though. Nick Barden joined Matt at the crease
and they quickly knocked off the runs finishing 22 and 19 not out respectively as Park won by 9
wickets.
20th June Home versus Stony Stratford
MK Park 137 - 3  20 overs  Stony Stratford 71 - 8  20 overs  MK Park won by 66 runs
With Stony the only side to beat the u12's this season Park were on their guard. Matt Shepherd won
the toss and choose to bat, he lead from the front with his 30 from the 1st ball of the sixth over before
having to reitire giving Park a great start. Nick Barden steadily compiled 30 before also retiring in the
18th over. Ben Talbot looked good making 12 and Keiron Forrest made 6 not out at the end.
In the field Ben Parker (1 / 21 off 4 overs) took an early wicket, Gareth Austin bowling 1st change
bowled a decent spell of off spin to take 2 / 5 off three overs. Ashu Ravi on debut bowled three overs
for only five runs and Euen Copeland took 1 / 4 off two overs as Park got on top. Everyone bar the
keeper had at least an over , with Ben Talbot 2 / 1 and Matt Shepherd 1 / 3 picking up the other
wickets to bowlers as Park won by 66 runs.
24th June Away versus Buckingham
MK Park 121 - 2  20 overs  Buckingham 58 all out 19.3 overs  MK Park won by 63 runs

Satchi Mehendren opening with Euen Copeland put on a steady 19 for the 1st wicket before Euen
was dismissed for 5. Satchi and Nick Barden then played some nice shots to take Park to 45 - 2 at
the end of the tenth over as Satchi was dismissed for 15. Park now started to motor, Matt Shepherd
quietly played himself in as Nick smashed it to all parts before retiring on 30. Matt then took over as
he quickly got to his 30 before retiring with some nice cover drives and tucks off his legs. Luke Yates
and Alex Coaton impressed with 17 not out and 6 not out from the dying overs. In reply Buckingham
needed a good start but Alex Coaton and Satchi Mehendren bowled their openers to put Park in
control. Hemish Patel with 2 - 9 off three overs and George Shrieves 1 - 3 off two overs made sure
Park stayed on top. Most players got a bowl and Euen Copeland 1 - 3 and Luke Yates 2 - 4 off four
balls picked up wickets at the end , Gareth Austin also bowled a tidy spell of off spin as Park won
by 66 runs.
3rd July Away versus Great Brickhill
Great Brickhill 101 - 7  20 overs  MK Park 102 - 1  16.3 overs  MK Park won by 9 wickets
Park needing a win to ensure victory of conference four of the Buck's junior league lost the toss and
were asked to field. A superb opening spell by Ben Talbot and a tidy start by Ben Parker saw
Brickhill score only six runs off the 1st four overs, the pressure told as Talbot and Parker (1 - 13 off
three overs) took early wickets. Park now lost concentration as the change bowlers came on and
runs came at an alarming rate. Satchi Mehendren saw his 1st two balls edged for four, but ended up
with 2 / 18 off fours overs. Matt Shepherd bowled a tight spell at the other end with 3 - 20 off four
overs. John Waite at Mid Off taking a stunning catch off a full blooded drive off Matt Shepherd, then
Ben Talbot who has bowled a superb line and length all season returned to finished off the innings with
1 -5 off four overs. Brickhill amassed a quite decent score of 101 off their 20 overs, a target that could
be tricky. In reply Matt Shepherd scored quickly and retired in the 7th over with 32, as park posted
45 by the end of the 7th over. Euen Copeland was playing the anchor role running his singles well as
Nick Barden settled in. Nick got to 15 before being out and Keiron Forrest came in with 18 required
from 35 balls. Keiron settled any nerves will  a couple of big hits as he finished the match with a
four to finish ten not out. Euen Copeland carried his bat for 20 not out as Park won by nine wickets.
Victory means Park take on Dinton the winners of conference one in the County League semi-final
on Wednesday 9th July at Manor Fields.
13th July Home versus Dinton (Semi final of the Bucks CB league play off)
MK Park 75 - 3  15 overs  Dinton 71 - 7  15 overs  MK Park won by 4 runs
With all the bad weather the semi final of the Bucks Cricket board play off had to be played on Sunday
with the winner taking on The Lee in the afternoons final. Park lost the toss and were put into bat,
which suited Park as Satchi Mehendren was on his way back from a school trip. Park were missing
other regulars due to football and basketball competitions. Matt Shepherd and Nick Barden opened
the batting and comfortably saw off the Bucks County opening bowler Humza on what was a good
wicket for bowling. With only 6 on the board from three of the fifteen overs, Matt and Nick batted
intelligently and hit the bad ball, and ran well between the wickets. The fifty partnership was brought
up in the eleventh over, and Matt had to retire in he thirteenth having scored his 30. Nick was out in
the last over for a well played 28, Satchi finished five not out as Park made 75 - 3. With five an over
the target Dinton set off frantically with five coming of the first over. But Ben Talbot bowled his usual
good opening spell and put Park right on top. With Nick Barden not able to field as he headed off to
play for Northants Matt had to keep wicket and Park fielded one short. Dinton though crashed to
12 - 5 as Talbot picked up 3 - 5 off of his three overs. Satchi Mehendren picked up a wicket and
Hemish Patel 2 - 12 as Dinton further slipped to 25 - 6. Ben Parker started with a maiden over as the
pressure began to mount. George Shreives came on to bowl and immediately bowled well but Dinton
staged a come back. A quick run out saw the score now 41 - 7 with 35 needed to win from just
four overs. Matt handed the keepers gloves to Satchi and bowled a good over for just six runs to
leave Dinton requiring 16 off the last over for victory. George was called for two front foot no balls to
make the game closer than it really was , but he held his nerve well to bowl the last ball full and
straight with Dinton requiring 6 to win. A great win by Park who fielded superb , a great catch by
John Waite and excellent fielding by nine year old Keiron Turner setting the standard. Also a note of
thanks to Jamie Galvin who came on for the last eight overs as a substitute fielder.
13th July versus The Lee The Final of the Bucks CB league played at Stowe School
The Lee 98 - 7 20 overs  MK Park 77 - 9  20 overs  The Lee won by 21 runs
With the excitement of winning in the morning the boys headed off to Stowe school to play their final
versus The Lee from Great Missenden. Matt won the toss and elected to field, Ben Talbot and Satchi
Mehendren bowled good spells, both bowling their four overs. Ben taking 0 - 12 and Satchi 1 - 11
including a wicket in his last over. Hemish Patel and Ben Parker came into the attack and quickly
made inroads as The Lee slipped to 38 - 4. Hemish taking 2 - 25 and Ben P an excellent 2 - 9 off
of three overs each. Both the bowlers were helped by stunning catches from Luke Yates, Ben Talbot
and George Shreives with two caught at cover. Matt gave the gloves to Satchi again and took 1 - 16
off three overs , the same figures as George Shreives as Park restricted The Lee to 98 - 7 off of the
20 overs. Matt gave Park a great start as ten came of the first over, with the outfield very lush it needed
power in the stroke to piece the field. Ben Talbot departed for two with the score on 28, Matt Shepherd
then was bowled by a good delivery from J.Hutt for an excellent innings of 25 with the score on 38 in
the eighth over. Park were up with the rate but the remaining batsmen played some good shots but
they couldn’t get the ball past the fielders. Satchi Mehendren and Luke Yates with eight each and
George Shreives with seven tried hard but perished in search of quick runs as Park fell behind the
rate. John Waite, Jack Lintwaite and Keiron Turner also were dismissed leaving last Park of Ben
Parker and Hemish Patel the impossible take of scoring 27 to win off the last over. Both batsmen
played out the over to ensure Park were not bowled out a feat they have managed all season. But
The Lee were deserved winners by 22 runs. All the players gave their best and should be proud of
their achievement in reaching the final and putting up such a good performance.
